Creating an inspection campaign is a guided, step-by-step process. The campaign wizard walks you through everything you need — from naming the campaign to choosing what gets inspected and how anomalies are handled — and lets you review it all before anything is created.
Before you start
A few things need to be in place:
You need the InspectionCreate permission to open the wizard and save a campaign.
At least one active planning activity must exist. You can manage these under Inspections → Planning Activities. If none exist, the Activities step will be empty.
See related: Creating an inspection activity
Creating a campaign
Go to Inspections → Campaigns and select Create. The wizard opens on the first step.
Campaign Info — Enter a campaign name (required). You can optionally add a description and start and end dates. If you set dates, the end date must come after the start date.
Campaign Activities — Select the activities you want to include, then choose their scope on the asset tree so each activity applies to the right structures and components.
Anomaly Settings — Choose how anomalies should be handled for this campaign. You can scope anomalies to the selected activities only, include all anomalies, or include none. You can also set the criticality and the anomaly codes that apply.
Review — Check the preview tree to confirm it lists the tasks you expect. When everything looks right, select Create Campaign. You'll land on the new campaign's overview page.
Saving a campaign as a draft
If you're not ready to create the campaign yet, select Save as draft at any point. The campaign returns to the Campaigns list with a Draft badge. To continue, open the draft from the list and it reopens in the wizard right where you left off. Drafts also appear in the Inspections list with a Draft badge.
Editing an existing campaign
You can change a campaign after it's created:
Open the campaign's overview page.
Select Edit campaign.
Adjust the scope, activities, or other settings as needed.
Select Update Campaign to save your changes.
