Executing an Inspection

This guide explains how to navigate Inspection Execution interface, complete inspection tasks, manage anomalies, and finalize inspection activities within the Enaimco platform.

Step 1 β€” Open the Execution workspace

1. Select the relevant campaign from the list (for example, Demo Campaign).

2. The campaign opens on the Overview tab.

What the Overview tab shows

  • Campaign status (e.g. in-progress) and the planned start and completion dates.

  • A completion summary: number of tasks completed, cannot complete, and remaining, with an overall progress bar.

  • Completed, Remaining, and Total Asset Groups counts.

  • A progress donut for each asset group (for example, Drill Center X and Drill Center Z), showing tasks complete and tasks marked cannot complete.

  • A Progress Logs section, searchable, listing recorded task activity.

What the Execution tab shows

  • Each asset group (e.g. Drill Center X) with its tasks completed, remaining, and scheduled, plus a progress bar.

  • Each asset within the group (e.g. DVXT 5, DVXT 6) with a Status (Pending, In progress, or Complete) and a Tasks summary.

  • Edit Grouping and Connect DVR buttons at the top of the page.

  • A Start Asset Group control to begin work on a group.

Task type icons

Each asset's Tasks column shows a count for each task type:

  • πŸ‘ Visual β€” observation tasks (eye icon)

  • β—” Reading β€” measurement tasks such as CP readings (dial icon)

  • πŸ” Anomaly β€” anomaly tasks requiring a new observation/revision (red magnifier icon)

To begin: select Start Asset Group, then select an asset (e.g. DVXT 5) to open its task page.


Step 2 β€” Work the asset task page

Selecting an asset opens its task list. At the top you'll see:

  • The asset name and its task counts: tasks completed, tasks remaining, tasks scheduled, and an overall progress percentage.

  • A Search assets or tasks box.

  • Show filters to control which tasks are visible: Visual, Anomaly, Reading, Complete, Cannot complete, Pending, and New.

  • A View isolated model icon next to the asset name, which opens a 3D model of the asset for visual reference alongside the Hierarchy panel.


Step 3 β€” Complete visual tasks

Visual tasks are marked with the eye icon and carry a Pending status until done.

  1. Perform the inspection activity described in the task.

  2. Select the checkbox beside the task to mark it Complete.

  3. The status updates to Complete and an automatic timestamp is recorded.


Step 4 β€” Record readings

Reading tasks (such as CP Contact – Electrical Potential to Ag/AgCl) capture a measured value for each contact point (CP1, CP2, CP3 …).

  1. Select the expand arrow beside the reading task to open it.

  2. Enter the value in the measurement field (e.g. Electrical Potential to Ag/AgCl (mV)). Stay within the stated valid range shown beneath the field (e.g. Range: -2000 to -200).

  3. Confirm or set the Date.

  4. Select Add reading to save, or Cancel to discard.

Completed readings display a Complete status.


Step 5 β€” Manage anomalies

Anomaly tasks are marked with the red magnifier icon. An inspection cannot be marked complete until all open anomalies have been addressed.

Revising an existing anomaly (adding an observation)

  1. Locate the anomaly under its structure or component (the breadcrumb shows its location, e.g. Drill Center X β€’ DVXT 5 β€’ THS Park).

  2. Select the expand arrow to open the revision form β€” for example, "BM7 β€” Created new revision for BM7 anomaly."

  3. Complete the observation fields:

    • Criticality β€” Unknown, Low, Medium, or High (a short description of each level appears beneath the options).

    • Date β€” defaults to today; adjust if needed.

    • Summary β€” describe your observations.

    • Attachments (optional) β€” drag and drop or Choose files to add photos, videos, or PDFs related to the anomaly.

  4. Select Add observation to record the revision.

If nothing has changed since the last summary, select No changes instead of entering a new observation.

Note: A structure or component is not considered complete until all associated anomalies have been updated.

Creating a new anomaly

Before creating a new anomaly, confirm the issue is not already documented. If it relates to a component, check both the component and the structure for existing anomalies.

To create one, ensure you are on the correct structure or component, select New Anomaly, and complete the required fields (Anomaly Title, Anomaly Code, Criticality, Anomaly Source β€” default Inspection, Discovery Date, and a Descriptive Summary). Recommended fields include Dive Number, Easting/Northing, Kilometer Point, Owner, and media.

Adding an Ad Hoc Task

Sometimes you'll need to capture work that wasn't part of the original plan. You can add a one-off (ad hoc) task to an asset directly from the execution view.

  1. On the asset, select Create ad hoc task.

  2. Choose the task type:

    • Visual β€” enter a description of what needs to be inspected.

    • Reading β€” choose a reading template. The template list reflects the type of the asset or component you're targeting.

  3. Optionally target a specific component instead of the whole asset.

  4. Select Create. The new task appears on the asset with an Ad Hoc badge.

Ad hoc tasks behave like any other task β€” you can complete them, add notes, or mark them as cannot complete. Use the Ad Hoc filter to show or hide them, and the Pending and Complete filters still apply.

Note: Creating ad hoc tasks requires the Inspection Create permission. Without it, the option is hidden.


Adding notes and handling tasks you can't complete

Each task has an ellipsis (β‹―) menu:

  • Cannot Complete β€” mark a task that can't be done and add a note explaining why.


Timestamps, notifications, and best practice

  • When a task is marked Complete or Cannot Complete, an automatic timestamp records the exact date and time. Anomaly revisions are timestamped too.

  • Pop-up notifications confirm key actions β€” completed tasks, anomaly created, anomaly revised, image captured, and clip recorded.

Best practice: Mark tasks complete immediately after finishing them so timestamps stay accurate.


Step 6 β€” Complete the inspection

Once all tasks for every in-scope structure and component are complete β€” including the revision of all open anomalies β€” scroll to the bottom of the Execution page and select Complete.
