Overview
The Media page has two ways to narrow a large library: the Filters drawer, for the properties recorded against each file, and Advanced Search, for finding footage by its position in the field. Both work on the Videos and Photos tabs.
Filter your media
On the Media page, select Filters.
On the Basic tab, choose values for the fields you want to narrow by. Work order, Dive number, and Project are searchable dropdowns listing the values that exist in your data, so you can pick from the list instead of typing a value in full. You can select more than one value per field.
Use the Advanced tab to build conditions field by field — for example Work order is one of… or Dive number is not 1428.
Select Apply filter. A progress bar appears above the results while they load, and each applied filter shows as a pill you can remove on its own.
Tip: If Apply filter is greyed out, a field in the drawer is incomplete. A coordinate search, for example, needs an easting, a northing, and a radius before it can be applied.
Filter by capture time
Capture time is a time picker in hh:mm:ss format, with is, greater than, greater than or equal, less than, and less than or equal operators — useful for isolating footage from a particular part of the working day. Only media that has been through coordinate processing carries a capture time.
Search by coordinates
Open Advanced Search on the Videos or Photos tab.
Enter an easting, a northing, and a search radius.
Search, then sort the results by distance to see the closest matches first.
Coordinate search covers photos as well as videos.
Search by KP
Open Advanced Search.
Choose the asset you are searching along. Each asset shows its location and system beneath its name, so it is clear which line or structure you have picked when several share a similar name.
Enter a KP value and a search range, then search.
Results include a Closest KP column, so you can see how near each file is to the point you asked for.
Search video transcripts
Where a video has spoken commentary, its transcript is searchable — enter a keyword such as leak or crack. Videos with no audio have no transcript to search, and text that is burned into a video's overlay is not searchable either. To find footage by something shown in an overlay, search by dive number, work order, project, title, or file name instead.
