Adding an Observation to an Existing Anomaly

Use observations to update existing anomalies without overwriting the original data

Steps to Add an Observation:

  1. Open the Asset Hierarchy and locate the relevant asset.

  2. Click Anomalies in the Resources section.

  3. Find the anomaly you want to update and click its Identification Code.

  4. On the anomaly page, select Update (top-right corner), then New Observation.

  5. Fill in the observation form with new information — criticality, source, observation date, and a summary. Expand Additional info for the dive number and the closeout request.

  6. Click Add Observation to finalize it.

Note: Anomalies can't be assigned to new assets once they are approved. Instead, you can request a closeout of the existing anomaly and create a new anomaly on the correct component.
