NETmc: Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect your NETmc DVR to the Enaimco application.

Before You Begin

Ensure the following prerequisites are met:

  • The DVR is powered on and accessible

  • The DVR and operator device (laptop, Surface, or workstation) are connected to the same network

  • The required HTTP certificate is installed on the operator device

  • Allow insecure content for Enaimco on your browser.


To allow insecure content on Chrome:

  • Click the security icon (lock or warning symbol) to the left of the URL in your browser's address bar.

  • Select Site Settings from the dropdown menu that appears.

  • Scroll down in the settings panel until you locate the Insecure content option.

  • Change the setting from "Block" to "Allow" for insecure content.

  • Reload the Enaimco website.

To allow insecure content on Edge:

  • Click the three dots (...) to the right of the URL in your browser's address bar.

  • Select Settings from the dropdown menu that appears.

  • Navigate to Privacy, search, and services > Site permissions > All permissions > Insecure content (or search "Insecure content" in Settings).

  • Select Add Site next to "Allowed to show insecure content".

  • Enter your Enaimco URL and select Add.

  • Reload the Enaimco website.


Step 1: Add HTTP license sent from NETmc to the DVR

Note: This HTTP license must be requested from NETmc prior to setup.

1. Click on SETUP button on NETmc window

2. Click on the LICENSING button

3. Click on LOAD FROM FILE button to select the HTTP file

4. Upload the HTTP file


Step 2: Setup Serial Port Configuration for Overlay

1. Click on OVERLAY button

2. Click on SETUP button

3. Select the IN # under SERIAL PARSER that matches the COM port the Serial cable is connected over.

For example: Select IN #4 if your serial connector is connected to COM 4

4. Select the associated IN # button

5. Update your Input Configuration to match the configuration below:

Input Source:

  • Input Source: COM Port

  • Serial Port: COM4

  • Baud Rate: 9600

  • Data Bits: 8

  • Stop Bits: 1

  • Parity: None

  • Flow Control: None

Input Type:

  • Select Raw Data Stream

  • Block End: <CR><LF>

  • Select Blocks: Starting, with the following value:

$enaimco

  • Select Fields: Separator, with the following value:

,

  • STRIP: Token

EXTRACTED FIELDS

  • 01: EnaimcoInspection (SrcField 2, Offset 0, Length 100)

  • 02: EnaimcoActivity (SrcField 3, Offset 0, Length 100)

  • 03: EnaimcoComponent (SrcField 4, Offset 0, Length 100)

LIVE SOURCE: Enabled

6. Make sure to click APPLY button after the configuration as been added.


Step 3: Configure the Overlay

1. Click on OUT#1 under SERIAL PARSER

2. Update the fields to use the newly added Enaimco configurations (EnaimcoInspection, EnaimcoActivity, EnaimcoComponent)

Note: Only the EnaimcoInspection, EnaimcoActivity, and EnaimcoComponent fields are required; however, your specific configuration may also require additional fields to be selected (i.e., date, time, KP value, etc).

Note: Make sure to click “APPLY” button after the configuration as been added.


Step 4: Configure file paths for recording, clipping, and still images

1. Click on SETUP

2. Create the folder(s) where you would like captured media to be saved.

Note: We recommend creating a folder for each campaign, with separate subfolders for Recordings, Clips, and Stills.

3. Link your output folder(s) for Recordings, Clips, and Stills:

  • RECORD PATH: \{Campaign Name}\Recordings

  • RECFILE PREFIX: record-

  • CLIP PATH: \{Campaign Name}\Clips

  • CLIPFILE PREFIX: clip-

  • STILL PATH: \{Campaign Name\Stills

  • STILLFILE PREFIX: still-

  • Click on the “APPLY” button after configuring the paths


Step 5: Connect to the Enaimco Application

1. Open the Enaimco Application and navigate to the IMR module

2. Select the Settings button

3. Enter the IPv4 address for the DVR

Note: To retrieve the IP Address from the DVR Device:

  • Open Command Prompt

  • Type "ipconfig"

  • Click enter

  • Copy IPv4 address to paste into the Enaimco website

4. Select Test Connection

Expected result:
The status updates from Not Connected to Connected.

5. Configure the Serial Port Configuration

  • Baud Rate: 9600

  • Data Bits: 8

  • Stop Bits: 1

  • Parity: None

  • Flow Control: None

6. Select Request New Port

Expected result:
The status updates from Not Connected to Connected.


Step 6: Test Serial Port Configuration for Overlay

1. Navigate to a campaign within the Enaimco application

2. Select Connect DVR

3. Select a component

4. Select Update Overlay

5. The setup should be complete and the overlay on the DVR should be in sync with the Enaimco application


Conclusion

The DVR is now connected and recordings, clips, stills, and overlays can be controlled through the Enaimco application.
