Before You Begin
Ensure the following prerequisites are met:
The DVR is powered on and accessible
The DVR and operator device (laptop, Surface, or workstation) are connected to the same network
The required HTTP certificate is installed on the operator device (if applicable)
You have the DVR’s IP address and serial communication settings
Please note
To retrieve the IP Address from the DVR Device:
Open Command Prompt
Type "ipconfig"
Click enter
Copy IPv4 address to paste into the Enaimco website
Step 1: Configure the DVR Connection
Navigate to Settings → DVR Configuration in Enaimco.
Enter the IP Address of the DVR.
Select Test Connection.
Expected result:
The status updates from Not Connected to Connected.
Please note
If connection fails, complete the following steps before trying again:
Click the security icon (lock or warning symbol) to the left of the URL in your browser's address bar.
Select "Site Settings" from the dropdown menu that appears.
Scroll down in the settings panel until you locate the "Insecure content" option.
Change the setting from "Block" to "Allow" for insecure content.
Reload the Enaimco website.
Step 2: Configure Serial Port Settings
Under Serial Port Configuration, enter the DVR communication parameters.
Typical settings:
Baud Rate: 9600
Data Bits: 8
Stop Bits: 1
Parity: None
Flow Control: None
Note: These values must match the configuration on the DVR.
Step 3: Pair a Serial Port
Select Request New Port.
Wait for Enaimco to detect and pair the port. A pop up will appear where you can select the port to connect to.
Once a port appears, select Test Connection again.
Expected result:
A paired port is displayed
Serial Port status changes to Connected
Step 4: Validate the Integration
After successful connection:
Inspection task changes update DVR overlays automatically
Video clips and images can be captured directly from Enaimco
Media, notes, and tasks are automatically linked to the relevant assets

Security & Connectivity Notes
Current DVR integrations connect using HTTP.
HTTPS support is actively being developed in collaboration with DVR vendors.
Network firewalls or VLAN restrictions may block device communication if not configured correctly.
