Getting started with the Valve Management Dashboard

Overview of how the Valve Management dashboard and how it helps you monitor and maintain valves.

Written by John Ennis

The Valve Management dashboard gives you a real-time overview of all valves across your subsea assets. It’s designed to help you:

  • Quickly visualize valve positions and statuses

  • Filter and locate valves by name, location, or type

  • Review operation history and performance trends

  • Investigate anomalies and plan maintenance

Understanding Valve Status Colors

Each valve card is color-coded so you can see its position at a glance:

Color

Meaning

🟢 Green

Valve is open

🔴 Red

Valve is closed

🟡 Yellow

Valve is at a percentage position

⚪ Gray

Valve position is unknown

Accessing Related Documents

Each system card includes a Documents icon in the top-right corner. Click the icon to open a panel listing reference documents associated with that system.

The panel surfaces any related documents labelled as:

  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagram

  • Schematic

  • Process Flow Diagram

  • Manual

Each entry links directly to the document so you can review specifications, drawings, and operating instructions without leaving the dashboard.

Ways to View Your Valves

You can view and manage valves in two main ways:

  • Grid View – A visual layout showing valve status across the field

  • List View – A detailed table with operational data for each valve

And for deeper analysis, you can open any valve’s detail page to explore operation history, torque trends, and media records.
